Sapulpa Lad Accidentally Shot and Killed

Jack Goff, the eight-year-old son of R.E. Goff of Sapulpa, was instantly killed Saturday evening by the accidental discharge of a shot gun, which tore away the side of his skull.

The little fellow had gone with his parents and a party of friends in automobiles out to Brown creek near Sapulpa for a week-end picnic. Arriving at their destination, the party alighted from the cars, except the little boy, who was standing in the back of the car with his brother, and the gun, an old defective automatic, was leaning against the back of the front seat. In some manner the gun was discharged with the result stated. No one was touching the gun when it was discharged.
